[5] To the writer of the Letters to the Editor....I am speechless. Your letters really produce a great deal of solutions for the problems you people in EP face, but for some unknown reason people won't follow your advice. Nevertheless, I decided to write this letter to let you know that the administrators who harp on perfection from everyone at every level of society need some current distributed in their complex brains in order to bring them back to earth. For example, a good friend of mine just informed me that a high ranking EPISD employee had committed to help Judy Canales out with her election early on, but now she has changed her mind, more than just a few times, in order to to avoid being charged with involvement. Involvement? What on earth is this world coming to? Please continue to enlighten these people with what is on your mind. I trust that you will break the resistance the people of Eagle Pass choose to have. The bad judgement will continue to bring forth more errors, more bad employees, and people will be stationed at the same place forever, until they break away from the constant. Only writers and philosophers, such as yourself are really capable of helping people gain new data which will enrich their lives. Here's to you.
cheers

To Judy Canales: I hope you win the race Judy. I hope that people will see the great injustices in Eagle Pass. For as long as I can recall, people in Eagle Pass tend to gain power, get all their friends in on the 'in', forget about the real reason the public elected them, and turn snobbish. I hope that you win, that you prove that you have what it takes to deal with these folks, and mainly that you remember to be a woman of the people and not a person who will only serve a certain cirlce of people. I know too many people in Eagle Pass that have considered themselves better than others because they hold some kind of power, usually money! Let's show Eagle Pass that you are of a different and better mind, Judy. Good Luck.

Happy New Year to the dedicated and great teachers in Eagle Pass. Hang in there. Hopefully, the administrators that insist on making your lives hectic, will be forced to retire or move out of Eagle Pass which will not only benefit the children, but all the caring teachers.

Here is something for you to think about during dinner tonight gente! Dan Morales is running for TX. Govenor. The very man who screwed up the child support interest policy up for all the hard working minority men who are trying hard to meet payments on four or five kids, but can't because thanks to this superman, anglo copy-cat, wanna-be, who makes us pay more and has ensured that we will never get out of debt with the state on child support obligations. watch out people. Dan is not the man!

All politicians are Corrupt, Thieves, and Liars, NO EXCEPTIONS! The longer they stay in office the worse they get. So come election time we have to vote them out of office so that they won't get too rich ripping us off! It's time to vote the Sandoval Crooks out of Office!

Yes, I am glad about the news in Canada. You must be watching a lot of news. I am also glad that Osama Bin Laden is near the end. Let's pray that no one ever invades distant territories the way that he did, nor that anyone harms anyone. It's a good idea to respect others and to give a helping hand. Stop the greed and bring in peace. Let's all keep praying for the families in New York.

Congrats USA! You finally opened your eyes and hired BORDER PATROL to take care of the Canadian border area! About time. See---it's not only the Mexican border that needs to be checked out! By the way, now do you see how the natives had no chance. The natives did not have BORDER PATROL to keep IMMIGRANTS out of THEIR land!

EXPLAIN HOW HOPE WILL FEED THE STARVING, WHEN ONLY THE RICH DO THE CARVING. AND CAN YOUR HOPE ELIMINATE HATRED AND OPPRESSION, OR IS YOUR HOPE INDIFFERNET AND PART OF SOME ILLUSION?

[40] BLESSED BE THE BOMBS.....Man's spears fly through the air, And peace will forever become rare. Metal ores make knives and swords, Bringing victory to all the lords. Knights, and horses, and suits of armor, March through fields of the helpless farmer. Bows and arrows that fell the enemy, Injure some and kill the many. Cannons go off in castles and ships, As death holds man tightly in its grips. Guns, and rifles, and powder too, Are witnesses to the violence men can do. Submarines hide from airplanes and so do tanks, And for these weapons of war man gives thanks. Blessed be the bombs of man's creation, For some day they will lead to his inevitable destruction.

[43] I wanted everyone to know how specail a man Rolando Olivares was to his friends . That he had heart and love for all of his friends . I really never can remember him having any enemies. He was like a brother to me and I loved him very much. He always had respect and treated me good since the first day I came from Michigan to go to Eagle Pass High School, and I graduated in 1970. He gave me the scoop on the people in the city and at the school, he was always good to me. He would take me to school everyday since I came to Eagle Pass , from Michigan. My aunt Mary Ruiz set that up. I was blessed to have a wonderful friend , I was blessed to have know him at all, and I will always have him in my heart, he was the heart of Eagle Pass, God Bless his family and friends

[59] This message is only to acknowledge the many emails we received regarding the re-broadcasting of the Eagle Pass Eagle's game on the internet, all of which were complimentary. So, I too want to thanks those responsible for bringing us this unexpected service and to let everyone know that all of the remaining games for this football season will be on the net. On a more solemn note, our prayers are with the family of Mr. Horacio Barrientos. He passed away on Sunday. Horacio was a kind and friendly man whom I had the privilege of knowing personally. We also want to offer our sincere condolences to Margie Olivares-Rodriguez and Roger Rodriguez for the tragic loss of their young daughter, Veronica Rodriguez. May God bless all of them at this moment of sorrow.

[64] Somebody told me that somebody they know will be airing live audio broadcasts of several Eagle Pass varsity football games on the internet this year. It's a neat idea -- something to help some of the alumni feel like they're not so far from home. Please help spread the news via e-mail, phone, fax, etc. Here are some simple instructions to hear the next game at home Oct. 5 against O'Connor. Click this link: http://www.live365.com/stations/288367 Then click on the little speaker symbol that represents 'play.' If you don't already have the live365 player installed, it will go through some easy steps to follow, then after a few minutes the audio should begin playing. This friday's game begins at 7:30. If you wish to test your reception ahead of time, the internet broadcast of the KINL audio will begin at 7. This is still a somewhat experimental effort, but it should work. Good luck, and give the eagles your support.

All previous messages have been saved under older messages in order to avoid losing them completely. The message database for Webpost will only store up to 50mb and we were at 49mb. Webpost simply dumps them and they would be gone forever. So we saved them. I want to take this opportunity to thank the hundreds of our alumni that have used this alumni resource sensibly and we hope you continue to use it.
